Our
SALONA 42 'Selana' (ancient Greek name of the moon)
is a brand new boat built in March 2013. It is the
only SALONA 42 in Greece and it is modified according
to our wishes for even more safe, fast and comfortable
charter sailing trips in the Aegean.
You might ask why we chose a boat like this for
chartering. The answer is simple:
We want to have clients who consider as "mass
tourism" a sailboat with more than 8 people
on a 42' sailboat.
We want to have clients who love sailing and count
knots instead of berths. As an old seaman said,
"You can have comfort in a fast sailing boat
but you cannot make a bathtub sail fast".
We want space and ergonomy and SALONA shipyards
offer it in their boats without sacrificing sailing
abilities and quality in construction.
Our SALONA 42 'Selana' is equipped with all the
standard navigation instruments by NEXUS plus Auto
pilot, GARMIN 720s GPS plotter fish-finder, GARMIN
600 AIS transponder and receiver, GARMIN 200i VHF,
stereo cd-mp3 in cock-pit and salon, camera.
Teak interior, big kitchen 2 refrigerators, 3 double
bed cabins+2 berths in saloon area (all for the
passengers), 2 heads-showers, hot water, shower
in cock-pit.
SELANA's sails, "Spectra" full-batten
main and "Spectra" 105% batten jib plus
the Momentum Gennaker are far from the usual "charter-boat"
sails.
Standard on board: dinghy with outboard, snorkeling
