TOURS & CRUISES 2012
Gulet Cruises and Escorted Tours: Turkey, Greece & Italy
We specialise in small group escorted tours (max 18 people) in Turkey, Greece and Italy, primarily gulet cruises aboard traditional Turkish gulets. Below is our current schedule of archaeological tours, cultural holidays and gulet cruises for 2011. Many of our archaeological and cultural adventures book up many months in advance, so we recommend booking your places early!
A long established tour operator (Peter led his first historical Turkey tour in 1996), we have assembled a team of leading experts and specialists to lead our tours in Turkey, Greece and Italy. We offer a wide range of escorted tours from spring to autumn: from adventure family holidays to gastronomic tours and walking vacations. If one of our escorted tours is showing as full or there is a particular itinerary you’d like us to create, please get in touch. We are happy to design custom made tours for small groups. As well as our scheduled trips below, we also offer bespoke gulet cruises and charters.
PRIVATE
GROUPS & CHARTERS
We also offer private gulet charters and group cultural holidays
and vacations, both in Turkey and Britain. If you have any
questions about our escorted tours, or anything else, please
don't hesitate to contact us.
WHY VISIT TURKEY
Turkey
is a land steeped in history, with more and better preserved
Greek and Roman archaeological sites than Greece and Italy
combined. It's also scenically beautiful, with a warm hospitable
people, and justly celebrated cuisine - a country perfect
for sea and land-based adventures into the past.
Its southwest coast offers the most spectacular cruising in
the Mediterranean, full of craggy coves and sleepy fishing
villages. Riddled with antiquities, it's remained largely
undeveloped, still lapped by the clear waters on which the
giants of ancient history sailed: Achilles, Cleopatra, Julius
Caesar, Mark Anthony...
As we set sail on Homer's "wine dark sea", or set off to explore
the stunning interior, we enter a forgotten land and discover
a lost world of temples, tombs, and theatres.
It was magical...your
itinerary made me fall in love with Turkey, with the ancient
world, with the land in and around the Mediterranean Sea,
and for that I am eternally grateful.
